The Role

 

I am working with this mainstream secondary school based in Newham who are looking for a qualified PE Teacher to start ASAP. As a PE teacher you will be responsible for promoting a healthy lifestyle and confidence in students aged 11-16. The school are looking for an individual who has excellent behaviour management skills with an understanding of students in the local area. The successful candidate will be required to act as a role model to all students, encouraging them to take part in all aspects of the sports sessions.

This multi-ethnic and multi-cultural, secondary school based in Newham support a total of 814 students aged 11 to 16. With the school newly opened in January 2018, there is continuous growth with a curriculum that suits the needs of each individual with high levels of challenge. The school has a provision for 25 pupils with profound, severe, and multiple learning difficulties which is supported by a specialist PMLD team of teachers and support staff. The school is described as a safe, positive, and family-friendly environment with exceptional facilities for young people to learn and grow. The current headteacher is passionate about supporting all pupils to leave having made excellent progress throughout their time in school.
