A mixed, mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Haringey is looking to appoint a committed HLTA: Maths to start ASAP. You will take a key role in delivering small group Maths interventions, including Entry Level Maths, and supporting the wider delivery of Maths across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
You will work with students who have SEND, EMTAG and EAL, as well as those who are gifted and talented, looked after, vulnerable, or underachieving, ensuring they are fully supported within the classroom and school community. The role includes developing and leading Maths learning groups, assisting in Maths lessons, and implementing strategies to support students both within and outside the mainstream setting.
You will help build student confidence, identify appropriate learning pathways, assess individual needs, contribute to education and pastoral support plans, and advise staff on learning approaches, particularly around Maths. Strong relationship-building skills and a commitment to student success are essential.
