The Role

I am working with this secondary school in Havering who are looking for a Drama Teacher to join their secondary academy to deliver engaging and creative lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5. The successful candidate will foster a love of performance, developing students’ confidence, creativity, and collaborative skills. You will plan and deliver a rich curriculum, prepare students for examinations, and contribute to school productions and extracurricular activities. Strong subject knowledge, enthusiasm, and the ability to motivate learners of all abilities are essential.

 

The School

This mainstream, all girls school based in Havering cater to students aged 11 to 18 with a total of 1300 students on site. The school was most recently graded good by Ofsted back in July 2019 where they were praised on their first-class education and opportunities to develop students’ skills, abilities and confidence. The school’s results are well above average nationally and have continued to improve in recent years. The school also have an SEN unit that supports roughly 119 students with the following needs; SpLD, Visual Impairment, Hearing Impairment, SLCN, ASD, SEMH, Multi-Sensory Impairment and Moderate Learning Difficulty.
