The Role

The role of a 1:1 Teaching Assistant is for a committed, nurturing and proactive individual to work with a pupil on a one-to-one basis within a PRU supporting students aged 5–11. You will be responsible for delivering tailored SEMH support, helping the student regulate emotions, manage behaviour and remain engaged in learning. The ideal candidate will be confident in de-escalation strategies, providing consistency, structure and encouragement throughout the school day. You will support the pupil both academically and behaviourally, ensuring they can access learning in a safe, calm environment.
