I am recruiting for a Construction Teacher to work in Hackney. You will plan and deliver practical construction lessons, helping pupils develop skills in areas such as carpentry, painting and decorating, and basic building techniques, depending on your specialism. You will adapt lessons to suit different abilities, demonstrate the safe use of tools and equipment, and support pupils with their coursework and practical assessments. The ideal Construction Teacher will build positive relationships, manage challenging behaviour and help pupils develop confidence, independence and skills for future employment. Applications are welcome from experienced vocational teachers and construction professionals with experience training or mentoring young people.
The school is based in Hackney and is seeking someone who can make vocational learning engaging and accessible. You will work closely with teaching and support staff to help pupils achieve their individual targets and prepare for their next steps in education, training or employment.
