We are currently looking for a Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Islington for the full academic year.

The Role

You will work closely with the Year 6 class teacher, supporting pupils with their learning and helping them stay focused and engaged throughout the school day.

You will:

– Support pupils with their day-to-day learning

– Work with children on a one-to-one and small group basis

– Help with literacy, maths and SATs preparation

– Support pupils with additional learning needs where required

– Encourage positive behaviour and good classroom routines

– Help pupils build confidence and independence

– Assist the class teacher with lessons and classroom activities

– Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the teacher
